Thai Binh Market (District 1)

Thai Binh is a small local market located at Pham Ngu Lao and Cong Quynh. It's a good shopping place if you live in the tourist area and manage to bargain properly. The first impulse of all the sellers there is to charge you double just because you are not a local. The stalls displaying the price are really good though.

Besides the fresh produce that are sold at the outdoor market, there is also an indoor market that sells processed food, apparel, and shoes. As a Westerner, you could find some flip-flops that suit you, but there's no chance for you to find fitting apparel, as most of the items come in the XS - M range. Except for some nice pajamas I saw, nothing is worth buying - most clothes are made of polyester.
